Smt. A.P. Patel Arts and Late Shree N.P. Patel Commerce College, Naroda, Ahmedabad came into existence in June 1993 as a Grant-in-aid, co-education, Gujarati medium College, affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, in the state of Gujarat. The College is run by Shri Naroda Kelavani Mandal, a body registered under the Public Trust Act of 1860 ?

At the behest of Shri Ramankaka, Shri Prahladbhai Kashibhai Patel, now the Chairman of the Mandal and a leading industrialist, donated Rs.7,51,080. in the sweet memory of his wife Smt. Anandiben Patel and thus, her name was prefixed to the Arts Faculty. Similarly, a generous donation of Rs. 7,50,000 was given in the memory of late Shri Narendrabhai Punambhai Patel, who had been killed in the communal riots in January 1993, and thus his name was given to the Commerce Faculty, hence, the name of the College Smt. A.P.Patel Arts and late Shri N.P. Patel Commerce College.

THE TRUST

Shri Naroda Kelavni Mandal, established in the year 1956 has been registered under Public Trust Act of 1860. The pioneer of this trust was veteran freedom fighter late shree Ramanlal N. Patel, who was a founding father and the whole-time President of this Trust.
